Are you protected against data loss?

Whether you’re a small business or a home user, you need to give some thought to the safety of your data. The loss of personal photos, business documents, customer databases etc. can be devastating but, with a little bit of forethought and effort, is easily preventable. Cloud based services such as iCloud, One Drive, DropBox etc. provide a space for you to safely store important files, mitigating the risk of loss due to something as simple (and common) as a hard disk failure. Alternatively, using inbuilt utilities such as Time Machine (for macOS users) or other synchronization tools which write to an external drive, ensures a backup of all your files is available in case of failure.

The general rule for backups is that data should exist in three locations, i.e. on the device, on a local backup and on a remote backup (kept off site), but if you can manage two out of three that’s certainly a step in the right direction. If you’re concerned about the risk to your data we can help assess your current situation and provide advice on the best solution(s) to meet your specific needs.
